Nathan,
Well, things have finally started settling down here. The rain's turned to snow and I allowed myself a few minutes of time to go out and enjoy it. I forgot how gorgeous Muir is when it snows. And how quiet it gets, as well. Which is really what I needed.
Some of the local hospitals from Melvish and Wick have sent some nurses by. It's not exactly what I need but any port in a storm, right? Thank God that Scotland's always been friendly towards mutants. No, I had nothing to do with it. Really. *innocent look*
The patients have settled back down as well and we aren't looking at as many emergancies. Keep your fingers crossed for me, please.
I was able to check the journaling systems--are you alright? Yes, I remember what Monday is, it's so hard for me to forget. I wish I was there for you right now, love.
Need to go into town with some of the nurses, supplies need to be purchased pretty soon.
I love you so very much.

I'm really glad things are settling down. Considering me crossing both fingers and toes that it stays that way. The nurses will help, I imagine, even if they don't solve the real problem?
And don't be modest, you. Not that the blushing when people point out your accomplishments to you isn't charming.
I'm... not all that good, really. If you checked the journals, you saw Amanda's post. She's doing more than just going, Moira, she's getting up and making a speech. Turns out she and Charles and Stephen have it all arranged. She didn't tell me until now because she didn't think I could handle it. She's probably right.
Love you. Expect a phone call tonight, I think... if the phone lines are up?

They're already a big help, mostly in keeping me sane. Doing all the small tasks that I was stretching myself too thin with. And a few have made noises about staying on after the crisis is over.
I don't blush!
...
I know what I'm going to say isn't going to make you very happy. But I think it's a good idea that she's doing that. I'm a little worried for her but I think the entire X-Men will be on alert in case anything happens. And you haven't had word from that rat bastard that something is coming down the line, have you?
And yes, our phone lines are back up. Please call later.
Love you,
Moira

Of course they're making noises about staying on. Who wouldn't want to work on Muir at your clinic?
And I know, Moira... I know it's a good idea, from every perspective that actually matters. I know there are going to be plenty of precautions taken, and I'm being paranoid.
Please don't invoke MacInnis, though. Next thing you know I'll be jumping out of my skin every time the phone rings.
Love you. Talk to you soon.
