Now I've had the chance to catch my breath and everyone's resting peacefully, I've got some important news for you. Nathan would probably give it to you himself if he wasn't flat on his back in Medlab right now. Snoring fit to raise the dead, too.
Morgan's with us. Completely conditioning-free. Part of the reason why Nathan's out at the moment, actually.
There was an emergency call today, from MacInnis. He and his team had intercepted a group of kids headed for conditioning, but their chopper was tagged and they crashed in northern Canada. The X-Men were scrambled, with Hank and I as medics, but along the way we discovered we were racing a Mistra retrieval team. Led by Morgan.
Upshot is, we got the kids out, and Nathan managed to de-condition Morgan with something left in his head by Kreitzer. They're both out cold at the moment, but they're going to be okay. MacInnis and his people are here with us until tomorrow afternoon, and then they're medi-evacing out - it's too dangerous for them to stay here. Morgan, on the other hand, will be staying with us, at least until he's back on his feet.
Elliott and MacInnis explained to me what losing Morgan means to Mistra, Mick. I think we've actually got a chance now - without him, they're without a decent field leader. For the first time since I found out about Mistra, I think we actually can finish this.
Sorry to drop a bombshell and run, but I'm on observation duty and there's a machine pinging that needs attention. Let me know if we can expect a visit - not to put the pressure on, but I'm thinking Nathan and Morgan would like to see you.
