Heya,
It occurs to me that I'm in debt to Nathan. Deeply in debt. Horribly in debt and such a situation cannot, but simply cannot be allowed to go on longer like this. It would simply be Wrong of me to allow that to continue.
As such - think your father would mind making a puzzle box for me to give Nathan as a gift?
I just need about two square inches of space inside it, which means your father can make it as big and as complex and multi-layered as he likes. (In fact? I want it to be brain twister. Pun intended.)

You want to know if my dad would mind being asked to do an extra-complex puzzle box? You're kidding, right? This is the guy who has an entire peg-board of tiny little screwdrivers and hammers and chisels and I don't know what all just so he can have the exact right tool for making all the little fiddly bits fit right. We used to joke that he picked up the hobby because he wanted to top Grandpa's cord-reinforced packing tape for making Christmas presents impossible to unwrap.
In other words, yeah, I'm pretty sure I can convince him. :) You have a timetable in mind?

Tell you what. If he needs work done on a laser level, I'm willing to help. That's how complex I want the thing to be. Nathan is a TK too, don't forget - you father can probably go wild on that basis alone too, since he can actually try and create locks that can't be done by simple direct manipulation alone.
Think he'll like that? ;)
And considering the above? I think I'd say whatever time he needs is good. It'll be worth the wait.
Heh heh heh.

Date: 2005-02-11 05:03 pm (UTC)Do you have any idea how surreal it is for me to see my calm, collected, deliberate, salt-of-the-earth dad act like a chipmunk on speed?
I swear, they're just gonna adopt you someday.

*grin*

On speed.

Hee!
