I tried to apologize to Amanda again, for my unwarranted interference. I don't think it went well, and she got awfully defensive when I mentioned my devotion to you. She seemed to think that I might be trying to come between you and Nathan. So instead of helping, I've probably made her even more upset. *sigh* Road to hell, and all that.
Anyway, I know you've been working very hard while I was ill. If you're amenable, perhaps I could cover a couple of your shifts this week? It would give you some time to spend with her, which would maybe make her feel better. I can't think of anything else I could do to help, and I would like to do something.
I'll just be over in the corner trying to pull the big blue foot out of my mouth.

I wanted to thank you for helping Madelyn track down... whatever her real name turned out to be. My lack of judgement was in a fair way to killing me, and I am very grateful to the two of you for rescuing me from the trouble I got myself into.
I owe you one. Thank you.

Can't really comment on the judgement. Like I told Amanda, all women have the power to kill with a kiss.
As for the rest, Bartlett's the one you should thank. Despite my fancy new title, I was just along to hit things with my face. Besides, the more you thank her, the less time she has to yell at me for living.

I'll definitely be thanking her too. But I am indebted to you as well. I owe you a favour, and I won't forget. If you ever need to call it in, let me know.
Thanks

Oh dear. *hugs* It'll be alright, I'll have a sit down with her and work somethings out. Amanda has a good deal many issues when it comes to family, hers or otherwise. Especially with Pete gone right now.
A couple of shifts--that would be heavenly. I need to start planning for this blasted wedding. ;) But only for this week, I don't want to find myself half way through this summer with nothing to do.
You get out of that corner right now, don't make me drag you out.

I know she does, and I just wish I could help somehow. *sigh* But I get the feeling it'll be a while before she really forgives me for interfering so drastically in her life, even though she did accept my apology. Which is entirely her prerogative, of course, I just... well. It bugs me a little, to know people don't like me.
And consider your shifts covered. Which ones would you like to offload? And I'll be happy to cover more, as needed to make time for wedding, future husband, and temperamental English lasses.
No. Don't want to. *does the two-year-old going limp trick, rendering himself unmoveable due to sheer weight*

You're very hard to dislike, Henry. Amanda's got so many walls that even the one's closest to her have trouble getting through or around some without a hammer and chisel. Or one of my famous glares.
The afternoon one's, if you don't mind. I can get more done during that time of day. I was going to say I'm not temperamental, but, well...;)
...oh trust me, I can move you. I'm a woman of many talents.
