I trialled the machine I've been building to try to help Jono, this morning. It didn't work as well as I hoped - although it did drain off some of the excess energy, it caused him quite a lot of pain. I'd rather not torture him to cure him, so I'm going to work on the machine some more. Maybe if I recalibrate it or something...
Meanwhile, I thought of something that I really, really should have thought of before. If Jono can still produce his blasts, he can drain off his excess energy *himself*... without needing to resort to the machine.
No, I did not think of this before. We geniuses sometimes miss the simple answers, don't we? *g*
When the quarry is cleared for access again, therefore, I suggest that you take him down there and the two of you engage in some therapeutic blasting-of-stuff. It'll be good for both of you, I think, to have something you can *do*. And I'll keep working on the machine.
