I understand you're heading off as well, so I thought I'd wish you a good trip. While you're gone, I'll see about organizing/tracking down some of that further information I promised Ms. Frost. Now that my telekinetic control is almost back to what it should beand Moira's informed me that my self-imposed exile is ending whether I like it or not, I should really see about doing something productive with my time. I'll cc Ms. Frost with anything concrete.
Anyhow... obviously, I'm not in possession of all the facts about what's been going on here this week, but I couldn't help but put some of the pieces together from what I've seen on the journals. It sounds like the time away will probably do Sarah good - and yourself, as well, since I have no doubt you're going through this right along with her. I guess what I'm saying is try and enjoy yourselves, in spite of it all. It's these moments in between the madness that keep us sane.

Subject: alcohol and Amanda, in that order...
When you get back, remind me to buy you a drink. Maybe several. Something tells me that by that time, we'll both need (and deserve) it.
I was sorry to hear about what happened with Amanda. She's a good kid, despite everything she seems to have managed to get into here. (Did she ever tell you she brought me tea for my headache, back when I first arrived?) I had a talk with her earlier this week, too--wish I'd pushed a little harder than I did, but then, I suppose I could have done more harm than good if I'd tried. Given that I was only marginally less screwed-up a kid at that age, I really have very little room to be offering advice. Anyhow, I hope Romany can do something to help her.
Take care, and try not to get yourself in too much trouble on the other side of the pond.

Date: 2004-03-12 12:18 pm (UTC)Thanks, for everything. Sarah and I definitely need the time away, I think, if only to keep us from hurting a few select people. That'd be bad, I think. We'll do our best to enjoy ourselves. I'm sure Artie and Miles will do everything they can to make sure we have fun.
On an unrelated note - do me a favour? Ask Moira to check in on Doctor McCoy? I just got out from visiting Amanda, and Hank seemed.. I think he needs a friend. Maybe ask her to bring Alison down with her?

Date: 2004-03-12 01:13 pm (UTC)Will do. Funny, but I'm quite well-accustomed to the tendency of brilliant, driven medical types to blame themselves for everything they can't fix.

Date: 2004-03-13 04:30 pm (UTC)As for the too much trouble bit - I've just been down the Crown, and as it happens I'm off to see a man about something in North Korea tomorrow afternoon, so y'know, I think you may be a bit later, there.
