Subject: Meggan's bloodwork
Hello Amanda,
got the results from Meggan's blood work this morning and I have a bit of a surprise for you. It seems she's rather older than she seems. She's started puberty, and is somewhere between twelve and fifteen years old, but I can't place it much better than that. The malnutrition's stunted her growth, somewhat, and has also inhibited her natural development.
She's as vitamin deficient as I expected, and she will need the vaccines, although it looks as though she's already had the chicken pox, which, given her age, is a blessing, as shingles are a dreadful, dreadful thing.
Let me know if you have any questions about her bloodwork, and when you two are ready to schedule her vaccinatioons. We don't keep thoes in stores, so I'll have to get them from Westchester Hospital.

Surprise doesn't begin to cover it, doc. Between 12 and 15? That makes her no more than five years younger than me...
Um, yeah, order the vaccinations - can we spread them out over a couple of weeks so she doesn't get them all in one go? I'll have a talk to her about it, see if I can't convince her the sharp pointy things are good for her. And if I can, can I talk to you about decent diet and the rest to cover this vitamin thing?
15? Bloody hell...

Chronologically, yes, it does make her much closer in age to yourself, although her mental and emotional development are likely as stunted as her physical development has been. Remember, she does act as young as she looks.
That said, once the malnutrition has been recovered from, you should be aware that you're likely going to have a young woman on (or even past) the verge of puberty.
Yes, we can spread the vaccinations out. We'll make measles and tetanus priorities, and I'll see if I can get a hold of the tetravalent vaccine, rather than the standard DTaP, which will cut a few of the shots out. And of course you can talk with me about her diet and her vitamins and anything else you would like help with.

Sorry, I was just sort of shell-shocked. I suppose there's no way of telling exactly, is there? Apart from cutting her in half and counting the rings? Bad joke, I tend to do that when I don't know what else to say.
I'm guessing the shapeshifting thing has something to do with it too. Sort of like Jake getting stuck as a bird - Meggan might be stuck in a younger shape 'cause that was easier for those bastards that had her or it was safer for her, or something. So yeah, once she's settled and eating regular and all the rest, there might be a change, yeah?
*adds 'talk to Moira about powers training' to the list*
Make an appointment for me so we can talk about this? Best we deal with all this early.

It's all right, Amanda. I know this is a shock. Believe me, I spent several minutes staring at the results, trying to figure out how they had gotten corrupted. And no, I'm afraid there really isn't a way to narrow it down much more than this.
I will schedule you for a meeting with me tomorrow, nominally at 10, but if you would like to come in earlier or Meggan or your school work is demaning you make it later, either is fine. And yes, speaking with Moira about her training would probably be a very good idea.
