Hey,
I got some news from Meggan's physical that you'll be interested in, and the three of us haven't had a meal together since we got back, so do you want to join Meg and me for breakfast tomorrow? Well, it'd be more us joining you, since you're the one with the space and all, but I'll bring the food and the little furry girl who was telling me all about the fun she had with 'Kurdt' the other night. Just seems to me to be the sort of time family looks out for each other, you know?
Amanda.

I had a massively long talk with Alison yesterday about Meggan and other things, and one of the things that came up is that I'm going to have to stop keeping so many secrets. But there's still stuff I don't feel comfortable telling just anyone, but I can tell you.
So, the latest secret. Remy gave me a key the other night, to a safe deposit box that holds everything me and whoever I take with me will need to set up afresh. Basically an escape hatch - he seems to think something bad's coming, and wanted to make sure me and I'm guessing Lorna are safe, plus whoever we get out with us. It's not something I'm thinking of using the next time I flunk a maths test or have a fight with someone, but I know he feels better knowing I have it, and I don't think it's the bad sort of secret to have. But still, I want to do this right, and if that means telling you about this then that's what I'll do.

Date: 2005-04-26 11:02 am (UTC)How about eight-thirty? Meggan tends to wake early - like, when the sun comes up early - and that'll give us time to rustle up breakfast stuff to bring up. Got any preferences?
Amanda.

Date: 2005-04-26 01:30 pm (UTC)I think if I were you, I would concentrate, in a catastrophe, on looking after yourself and Meg first; that's where your primary responsibility lies these days. You can trust the rest of us to do what needs to be done for everyone else.
Thanks for telling me. It is good to know.

I'm glad I did tell you. Need to prove a lot of things to a lot of people.

Date: 2005-04-26 01:49 pm (UTC)That's a good idea, the hide and wait... I don't want you to think I'm encouraging you to be selfish, Amanda, telling you to focus on yourself and her. But she's got to come first, because she can't look after herself. And looking after her may be all that you can realistically do, if the shit hits the fan to that extent.
And I'm being very obvious about where all this is coming from, aren't I?

Date: 2005-04-26 02:03 pm (UTC)She does. Come first, that is. Or that's what I'm trying to do, what I've been doing since the start. Even if sometimes that means I have to ask for help to do that.
And yeah, maybe just a bit. *wry*
