Mr. Dayspring,
First, let me offer my congratulations on your upcoming (very quickly upcoming) wedding to Dr...Moira. She threatened to hit me the next time I called her Dr. MacTaggart. You certainly are marrying a handful, aren't you?
(And now my wife is hitting me, lovely.)
The main reason I'm contacting you is because of our missing in action colleague. There still has been no word from Dr. Campbell and, honestly, I prefer it that way. I'm not writing this to Moira simply because she already knows and I figured I would put your mind to ease as well.
Staff have been alerted that he is not invited to the upcoming wedding. If he arrives, he will be escorted from the premises rather quickly. I might be missing an arm but I can certainly move much faster than he can. We are currently holding all of his belongings until he _does_ resurface, God only knows when THAT'S going to be.
So. No worries about the globe wandering Campbell showing up on your big day. I don't think he'd stand a chance.
Sincerely,
Dr. Connors

That doesn't mean I wouldn't prefer to have the man resurface - I know Moira's still almost as worried as she is angry - but preferably not next Saturday.
I'll look forward to seeing you again. I know we didn't get time to exchange more than the minimum pleasantries the last time I was there, but hopefully we can rectify that this time.

Date: 2005-05-06 04:23 am (UTC)So I've heard. I've never actually met the man myself, though I've gotten an earful since I've been here. Both staff and locals alike, good impressions and dire threats. But I rather enjoy working here and am not in the least inclined to give it back to someone who leaves experiments half finished. I'm still cleaning up his mess.
Hrm. When are you and Moira expected over? A few days before? I think her uncle was making noises of having a bit of a "guy's night out" or something before the date itself.
