First of all, apologies for the delay in any actual information - Paige's return was rather sudden and both Jean and the Professor have had their hands full getting her settled. As Jean's resting now and Charles is monitoring her, I thought I'd let you know what's going on.
Paige's current state, physically, mentally and emotionally, is rather fragile. I'm not at liberty to say precisely what's wrong with her on the grounds of patient confidentiality, but you all will be aware that she hasn't been coping with various things for a while now, and the best way of putting it is she's had something of a breakdown. She will recover, and has expressed a desire for help, and that's what Charles and Jean are providing.
As to her current isolation... At this point in time, the only people able to see her are Jean, Charles and shortly Dr Samson. Like I said, her state is a fragile one, and it is for her benefit that we're restricting visitors. She herself has asked that no-one be allowed to visit her as yet, and Charles has agreed that this would be best. We aren't deliberately keeping you away because we're being cruel, or punishing anyone, and as soon as matters change, you'll be the first to know, but in the meantime I'd ask on behalf of Paige and the people trying to help her that you respect the need for this and let us do what's best for Paige.
Angelo, could I ask that you let Jono know what's going on? If you can't, I'll talk to him myself, but I thought perhaps it would be better coming from a friend.
Madelyn.

I just have no idea what to say. From the way things went when the COs talked to Paige before she left, I can't exactly say this is a surprise, but it doesn't make me any less worried. I definitely would like to see Paige as soon as she's feeling ready for visitors. I'll try and ride herd on Jay's more impulsive instincts, but I don't make any guarantee that he'll listen. Not to mention I have some impulsive instincts of my own.

Let's just say Paige is an object lesson in why we should talk to people about what's bothering us instead of pretending everything is fine. *sighs* Well, no, it's more than that, but at least the inevitable meltdown's happened and she's at least reaching out. We all dearly wish it hadn't come to this, even at the same time we could see it happening.
And of course you'll be allowed to see her - as soon as she's cleared and ready to see people, you and Jay and the boys are first on the list. Thanks for helping with Jay. Charles will probably be wanting to talk to him when he has the time to spare, but I hope at least I've made things a little clearer. And I understand the impulsive instincts, but seriously, hon, it wouldn't help to have people charging in and seeing her now. If anything, I think it would make things ten times worse. Give her some time to find her feet again, okay? As soon as she's ready, you'll know.
Maddie.
