Hope that subject header didn't catch you too offguard....
A few weeks ago, Remy offered me a position with the Intelligence Unit. Honestly thought it over and even asked Brian his opinion, considering what happened the last time I took up the 'spy' racket... We rarely ever talked about what life was like for me before I came to the Manor. So you know, I marked that time with a great deal of happiness.
I'm not saying that my stay here hasn't been without its' high points. But to be productive, to work in a cohesive unit, and still manage to save the day without anyone knowing is still as thrilling as it was two and a half years ago. Well, it's that exhilaration I've been missing for some time. And thinking of my current status with the X-Men and how to some I'm not best suited to rejoin the team at this current juncture, I've decide to accept Remy's proposition. Now, I know it's going to take a while for you to collect yourself, it's alright. I understand completely, just please try not to breakdown in front of the children.
Honestly, I'd rather be doing something, anything rather than sitting on my thumbs all day while the lot of you are saving the world. This way, with Remy, it'll be one less person for you to worry about and I'll be contributing something to the whole.
On another note, I also wanted your professional opinion on something? But only if you can be brutally honest. The covert thing would work better if I was a redhead, wouldn't it?

Subject: Here's one point for British witticism.
Date: 2005-05-30 01:48 am (UTC)I thought so too, but to get contacts to look believable enough would be the necessary evil. Because purple and red, two colors that couldn't clash more.
