... which sounds kind of funny, because 'Come and back me up when I meet my father' makes me sound like a total coward. But there's a problem; he's claiming that what I remember, about how I left, isn't right. Given how little I do remember about those years in Alaska, I'm not sure what to think, which is why I know I have to see him.

I'll let you know details, once he and I settle them? I'm thinking public place in New York. I don't want this happening anywhere near the school.

I didn't want to push you - as I said, I know we have to do this at your pace, Nathan - but if you're willing to meet face to face I can be in New York this weekend. Just let me know when and where.

1) It's not cowardly.

2) Just let me know when and where.

3) If you can find a good public area but with wide open spaces, I'll bring Haroun along and we can pose as the gushy couple nearby. Do you want a full team along, or will the two of us be enough? Either can be done.

The gushy couple's a good solid plan; let's do that. I've got an open-air cafe in mind.

You and Haroun should be enough. Honestly, I shouldn't really need back-up, I suppose. He's an old man, and I can level whole city blocks just by thinking about it.

I just don't trust myself. Plus Moira would probably have a coronary if she caught me trying to go alone.

I think there's something really wrong, Alison. The way he tells it... there are things I do remember, but the details are all different. It doesn't make any sense.
