Hank, Maddie,
writing to let you guys know that there's been an... incident with Alison. I can't be more specific than that, because she's asking that this all be kept quiet and has invoked doctor/patient confidentiality. Before you start asking questions, she's fine, and you really don't need to panic or come back. At this point, there's not really anything more to be done for her, and anything you could do can keep until your holiday is over.
Seriously, I promise you, she's fine, and you don't need to come back early. I get the feeling she'd rather you didn't - doeesn't want to disrupt anyones plans.

Girls,
I know that after events like tonight there is a very strong desire to talk with people, and normally I would encourage it, as it helps with coping, but this time I have to ask you all not to, or at least not to discuss it with anyone who doesn't know already. Alison is asking that the school at large not be made aware of what happened to her, and Charles and I both feel that it would be best for her to have the chance to come to grips with it for herself before having to deal with people asking if she's ok.
I trust you all to use your discretion, and I do want you to know how proud of you all I am. Even if you did almost give me a heart attack.
Thank you, all of you.
-Jean Grey.

Do you think I'm crazy? Half the people here think I'm evil already, I'm sure as bloody hell not going to tell them that I pulled a magic-absorber and a dying woman into my hell dimension. Your secret's safe with me.

Hank of course wanted to come back straight away, but common sense and some pointing out of same prevailed. I know fully well there's more to things than what you're saying, but I'm trusting your (and the team's and Charles') judgement and not p ushing for details.
One point to watch for - Amanda's healing spells haven't been completely quantified, so you may want to watch Alison for any signs of regression. My studies haven't found any yet, but there's always a first time.
Maddie.
PS: What? You think I wouldn't take "there's been an incident, Alison is _fine_ now as anything else than a situation that required the resident witch's hocus pocus?
Thank you doubly for that

Thank you, Madelyn, I knew I could trust you to stave of his first impulse - Save Everyone. And don't worry, I'll be keeping as close an eye on Alison as she'll let me. Life would be so much easier if they'd just let us wrap them all in cotton wool so they'd stop getting hurt...
Jean
p.s. -smile- You're a master slueth, you are. I blame the fact that I was writing it at three am for the email I sent not having been more coherent.

No scaring people, I get it. I've remembered the Limbo part of things, tho' not all of it, but I'm not about to boast 'bout saving Alison's life if she doesn't want people to know it needed saving. I'll think of a good reason for why I'm stuck in this bloody bed again for Manuel and Meg, somehow....

...discuss what exactly? that some X-Men hoohah resulted in Alison being taking to a local hospital instead of the medlab and I had to go get Amanda and Illyana to do something? besides teh whole "medical confidentiality" thing - which applies since I was both on the job at the time AND I work in the medlab too on top of everything happening in a hospital - what exactly did I see except for Cain's chest and confused ER staff? sheesh.

Thank you for confirming that my trust in your discretion was not misplaced. My apologies if you felt I was telling you something you already knew, but that is my job, both as your teacher and your supervisor in the medlab.
