Sightings of the rare Crested Douglas have been sporadic today. The specimen appeared momentarily at the usual feeding times for the breed, then vanished into the undergrowth.
And he hasn't been back to the room, either. I didn't mean to bother him that much. I think it's great you guys came to an understanding.
Hang on, I just got an e-mail from him.
Oh, way to go, Angie! :) Is that what the gender equality comment was about? I'm gonna go be enthusiastic at him. But not too enthusiastic, because geez, he's skittish.
Yay you guys.

If I waited for him, he would have imploded from blushing. I think he blushed about sixty times in IM.
Yes, he is skittish. Hopefully that will go away.
Indeed. Yay us!

"Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon." Chow Yun Fat, Michelle Yeoh, mindbogglingly cool martial arts sequences.
And you're right, he probably would have. You might need a plan for making the skittish go away.
Yay you some more!

I have no idea how to make him less skittish.
Is he panicking? Wait. This is Doug, of course he's panicking.

Well, if you'd already been on the first date I'd recommend you ask Kitty how she gets me to relax, but right now that might be moving a little fast. (Although I haven't ruled out asking her to open book on which one of you makes the first move.)
Yes, he's panicking. He may continue to panic until the third date and he finally realizes he's not doomed. You may need to Do Something.
And I'm not just saying that because the smart money would be on you. ;)

Isn't it cheating if she opens the book and you get inside knowledge?
I intend to Do Something. Panicking Doug is not good. Even if it is cute and pliable.

Well, she wouldn't give me very good odds either way, but it's the principle of the thing. :)
Good. Because it's kinda funny watching him get all worked up about things he really doesn't have to worry about, but it'd be better if he just didn't worry about them.

Oh.
Well, I would have told you, if she was going to open the book.
You could hit him with a newspaper again.
