I still do not quite understand two plus two equals six. I am not sure it quite matters.
I asked him out. He said yes. Apparantly he hid from Jamie all day. I can't tell if I should be flattered when he says he is nervous.
I am not nervous. Not a bit. No. Nooo.
I've never been on a date. What do I -do-? Do not tell Doug. PLEASE!

Angie,
Forgive me while I smirk smugly over in the corner. I just need a minute.
Ahem, right. The math thing. It's just... See, I was kinda going on about how boys are silly. They can't even add two plus two and get six. Which somehow evolved into a euphemism for relationships and almost-relationships. And now math is just shorthand for two people circling around each other, not quite getting it.
That still is a really incomprehensible explanation. Ali, help!
Right, dating. So first off, you need a killer outfit. Thankfully, you're not Jubilee and you already have a good wardrobe base. Next, hair and makeup. Again, you're you and this shouldn't be a traumatic experience, though if Ali lets her hairdresser buddy at you just close your eyes and keep breathing.
Place of eating is next. No long pasta noodles, no salads, no sandwiches. Dainty foods are better. Chocolate is a must. Seafood is always a plus.
Technical aspects aside, take a deep breath, let it out. Be yourself. He already likes you. The hard part is done.
Oh, and take some tic-tacs. Just in case. *nods*

Clothes and hair and makeup I am not so worried about.
Why dainty foods? Chocolate is a must? Who makes up these rules?
Tic-tacs. Little mints, right? I intend to get -that- done and over with before dinner. Maybe at the airport.
He blushes cutely.

Dainty foods are easier to get into your mouth--or his mouth--without getting all over your dress. Chocolate for the same reason as seafood, and if you who are as French as they come don't know why that is then I can't help you.
And yes, Tic-tacs. And what do you mean done and over with? You planning on just kissing him once? Forshame, girlie!

Oh. I didn't even think of that. I was up too late tonight.
No, but after the first time, it won't be 'just in case', now, will it?

That was "just in case of garlic or some other strange foodstuff" not "in case you want to kiss him". I figured that was a given.

Oh.
I feel silly now.
He's going to freak if I kiss him, isn't he?

Heck yeah, so get a good grip first so he can't run.
He'll be okay, Angie. Really. He's a supremely decent guy. This we have proof of.

Hhmm, looks like my roomie got in the good info. ;) And no feeling silly just now.
*grin*
Pounce him at the airport. I approve of that immensely. I'll make sure there's only one direction for him to run for (before anyway, cause after he'll probably be either too dazed to do much but give you very silly looks, or possibly faint - I doubt he'll faint. Optimum response? He may just well pounce back. If he'd not already all "wah, hurry up guys we'll be late" the whole drive over anyway.)
