Regarding the young man found at the gates this morning... I know intel will probably be doing their own thing to find out who he is, and I've taken his prints and sent them along to Fred Duncan's office to see if he's on the system at all. Plus they're going through missing person reports for young mutants. Nothing as yet, but we'll keep looking. I'll keep you updated

His condition is still serious, but stable. More later. Again with the keeping you updated.

Not finding out much. No missing persons called in locally, no reports of an assault filed. The closest thing I can come up with is a rumour of some kind of gang fight during the rally. Someone might want to talk to the students, see if they saw anything. Betsy, Jake and I were there, but none of us picked up on it.

The rally... dammit. There was something on the news, footage of a kid manifesting in the middle of the FOH camp. Hank says he recognised him from the Columbia rally, and that some of the kids might know him.

Shit - we saw him being led away by police. That damn well does it: things are more than rotten in Salem Center, they're stinking. I need to make some phone calls.

It might be an idea to sound out some of the kids, see if any of them recognise our John Doe. It'll have to be handled delicately, though.

Very delicately. If there's a chance he is FoH, keep Terry and Jay away, period end of story. Doug and Angelo, too, while I'm thinking of it. Do we know which of the kids might be able to make a positive id and not tell the school at large if it turns out he is one of that crowd? Maybe one of the students who was at the fire? I wasn't here when that happened, so you all would have a much better idea than I.

Jamie or Kitty might be an option there - they were both at the fire, and I know some of the FOH kids turned out to be Jamie's cousins. It might be difficult getting a name, though, since I don't think introductions were made. We'd go from "John Doe" to "John Doe who used to be FOH". Used to be being the operative term - the kid's definitely X-gene positive.

He's definitely not on the system at all. No prints on record, no match with the missing persons database. No new reports in Salem of a missing kid, but considering the police are involved in his appearance in the first place, that's not a surprise. Getting an ID on this kid would vastly improve a lot of things; I've got Fred Duncan up in arms with this one. I have a feeling the State Department might be getting a call.
