Subject: not a mystery any more...

I've got a positive ID on the boy - Terry came down for a check up and I didn't get the door shut in time. His name is Tommy Jones, and he would appear not to be just any ex-junior-FoH. Terry's reaction was rather extreme, and I wasn't able to get much more from the deluge of thoughts, but she seemed to be under the impression that Tommy was somehow the brains behind most of what's been happening to our kids.

And now we've taken on the responsiblity of caring for the little monster. Just about makes my day.

From a medical standpoint, there's been no change, and change is unlikely in the near future. As far as the school at large goes, I've told Bobby and Terry that they are not to tell anyone, but... someone should keep an eye on them. Terry was quite shaken, and Bobby has a history with the FoH. Charles, it might not be a bad idea to get them in for tea sometime soon.

A name, finally. I can work with that. I'll let you know what we find.

And monster or not, he needs our help - we'll have to keep the kids well clear, especially while he's so vulnerable. I'll have a word with the helpers, see if they're going to be a problem. I don't think so, considering the girls understand professional conduct, but given the Terry connection... You don't think he was involved in the attack on Terry, do you, Jean?

I know he needs our help, and I can deal with that. I just... get touchy about people messing with our kids. Of course, x-gene positive and clearly unwelcome wherever he comes from, we may just be looking at one that will become one of ours. But we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

I don't know if he was involved in the attack on Terry - Nathan would know, I suspect, but Terry's mind was too tied up in knots to get anything solid out of it. Except... the boy is apparently one of Terry's exes. Don't spread it around, even among staff, because it's not our place, not even my place to share since she didn't tell me, but it's an added complication. It wouldn't be a thing for Rahne, I'm sure, or Paige if we need her, but I don't know if Clarice knows about this boy or not. She's one of yours, can you talk to her?

Any reason why we haven't just given him to Fred Duncan yet? Last I checked, the FoH was still a terrorist organization, and if he's got connections to the adult body, I doubt the ATF is going to be very happy that we're concealing him.

At the very least, someone should mention something on the quiet. We know the DAD isn't going to frogmarch the kid out in handcuffs without talking to the Professor. But if we keep him in the dark, that could be the end of our informal association with the FBI.

Because he's in a coma, Remy, with multiple broken bones and for all we know he may never wake up. Head wounds are difficult under the best of conditions, and this boy did not come in under the best of conditions. With Madelyn continuing her search for information, I'm sure Mr. Duncan will get the chance to discuss what we should do with him if and when he wakes up, but in the meantime, he is far safer in our medlab than in a public hospital, especially given we have no specific idea of who attacked him.
