(Paige, I'm including you in this given you live in the medlab even more than we doctors do, and we'd be very grateful if we could impose on you from time to time to assist. If this is a problem, email me.)

(Amanda, I know you're ill right now. Don't consider this as an expectation of your presence in the medlab by any means. It's just this task may be a long-term one.)

Greetings, O most useful and wonderful medlab helper types!

(yes, it's night shift, how can you tell?)

As you are aware, we have an injured civilian (meaning, not a member of the school in any way) in the medlab at the moment. His condition is considered serious, and he is presently in a coma and thus requiring monitoring of the fairly constant type. Now, ordinarily we would have asked you lot earlier for help with the monitoring, but there's another factor involved which is, as the subject says, of a delicate matter. It is also of a highly confidential matter, for both the welfare of the patient and of others in the school, so I trust you all remember those talks on patient confidentiality we've all given you at one point. Yes, this would be the pointed reminder. Not a word of what I'm about to say, to anyone.

Our patient is a member of the local FOH, and appears to have been involved in some of the incidents connected to the school in recent months. I use the word 'appears' because as yet we have no proof or even allegations, just suspicions. But the fact remains he is FOH, and I need to know now whether that is going to prove to be a problem with any of you should we ask you to nurse him. Whilst he's unconscious his personal biases aren't such a problem - we'll re-evaluate the situation when and if he regains consciousness. We won't force anyone to attend to him if they are uncomfortable with the situation, but we have a patient here in a serious condition requiring aid, and I want to establish what I can and can not ask of you in this case.

If you want to discuss the matter, email me individually and we'll talk.

Thank you,

Madelyn.

hey Doclady, I'll help. I mean, what's he going to do? wake up and go back screaming about how we kept him alive oooh, scary shocking freaky mutants, keeping someone alive and helping them get better!

and I won't talk about it, wouldn't do any good to excite a panic over nothing. and if he wakes up, well, that's YOUR baliwick.
