Is there anyone in the mansion who's not being extra stressful or am I just only picking up on the stress and the tired and the cranky because that's where my mind is? Really, it's starting to feel like their projecting all this crap on purpose.

Stressed or stressful? I know, fine line at times... but you know that people aren't doing it on purpose. It just feels that way.

I'm writing a quiz as we speak. You could tune into my subdued yet gleeful sadism instead?

Well, there's no question they're being extra stressful. As for knowing they're not doing it on purpose... Well, yes, I do. Mostly.

I'm not sure we want the woman in the medlab with all the sharp implements to be tuning into sadism. Although glee sounds nice.

Just keep repeating it to yourself. I imagine it doesn't help that you're down there in the pressure cooker - by the way, when do you get off-shift? I deliver midnight snacks if necessary. And could possibly provide carrying-to-bed duties in the morning if requested. We haven't had the opportunity to shock the kids lately, and we could reenact the dialogue from that scene in Firefly...

By the way, speaking of stressed people, what was Nathan being hysterical about, or does doctor/patient privilege apply? I'm a little worried about him. He's been too quiet since he got home from the hospital and I've noticed that sudden outbursts of manic behavior rarely bode well.

I'm here all night, yes, so midnight snacks, child shocking and being taken off to bed all sound good. Particularly if I'm going to get more than just tucked in.

Gah. Nate. He was apparently having trouble realizing that we do actually keep fairly comprehensive records of what his normal abnormalities are, and are unlikely to start fretting about those, so when we do start fretting, it's because he's potentially doing something even weirder than normal. Can't get much more specific than that, I'm afraid, and Moira and Maddie have been dealing with it more than I have.

Then I can provide all of the above. Especially the child-shocking. And the not-tucking-you-in. Any particular requests for midnight snack? Besides caffeine? (I may or may not have a box of those chocolate-covered espress beans that mysteriously appeared on my desk and I'm really not asking questions.)

Well, he appears to be joking with Rahne and Kylun at the moment, so whatever it was must have been at least semi-resolved. You know me and the worrying about injured teammates, though.

Ohhhh, chocolate covreed esspresso beans. And, better yet, chocolate covered esspresso beans that you are willing to share (cause if you aren't willing to share and were just telling me you had them to torment me I will cry, and then kick your ass). And for all that I know the Japanese place is probably closed, if you can get me Miso soup I will... Well, will already love you forever. But there will be rewards. Possibly related to the not-tucking-in.

Resolution is good, as is joking and relaxing. Am in favor of all things which make the atmosphere around here better, and Rahne's cookies definitely count.

Of course I'm willing to share. I wouldn't have mentioned them if I wasn't. Once I finish the quiz I'll drop those down to you and then go looking for Miso soup. Far be it from me to not leap like a rabid... something on the prospect of rewards related to the not-tucking-in.

I'll bring you some ginger cookies, too. The whole thing's awfully cute.
