There's nothing to do right now, that's the damned thing. Charles is doing what he can, Remy's not back yet...

I was not anticipating hysterical screaming trainees. Maybe I should have. But I'm not backing down on what I told the students, either. We can't take the chance. We just can't.

I think you're absolutely right, taking a risk on this is unacceptable. If we're wrong, and I pray we are, then should one of the students see her and call the emergency line, we'd still be better off than we are, because at least we would know where she is.

Have been looking at the other posts like this. I think the difference, which is making it so hard, is that we haven't seen her. The last person to see her was Kitty and there didn't seem to be anything wrong. At least with the others, at least one of our own had seen the problem and could report. Taking the word of an unreliable witness against one of our kids hurts, but it is the right thing to do.

I love the fact that the kids in general had a calmer reaction than our trainees. Doesn't speak very well for the training program, quite honestly.

You'd think I was calling for hunting her down like a rabid dog. Or writing her off as a lost cause. Maybe I needed to use words of one syllable.

The trainees are more used to being able to do something about our problems than the student body as a whole. And yes, I am including myself in that list. Possibly doubly so. But I do recognize that there just isn't much I could be doing, and even if they were, there is a reason we have a command structure.
