I've promised you all a bit of a retreat at one point or another to Muir. Unfortunately, right now it's coming because I need a favor. We just had an...incident yesterday on Muir and my computer and security systems were breached. We don't know the extent just yet, if it's simply hacking into the database or tampering with the physical parts of it.

I'm heading back to the Mansion in a day or two but I was wondering if any of you would be up for a weekend jaunt back over to take a look at the systems? I normally would open this up to everyone but, well, the security is a little spooked. (It is, however, perfectly safe.)

Paige, I want you to come, if you can, because I'm going to need some help.

Doug, if you wish, you can bring Angie. Kitty, this is extended for Jamie as well, and Paige for Jono.

If all of you wish to come, perfect, it's going to take a few hours to go through everything and multiple hands make the work pass much faster.

Moira

Angie and I can be out there as soon as you need me. Do you want us to take the Purple Pixie Express ASAP?

Let me put a hardware security/cracking kit together and I'll be ready in about forty-five minutes.

Trust me, give me an hour with the mainframe and I'll have it physically uncrackable.

Unless you plan on removing the ability to connect to it at all, there's always going to be a way that someone could get in. Improbable != impossible, especially in a world with mutant powers. The best we can do is reduce the risk level. I'm not saying we can't do a bangup job of that, but there's no such thing as perfectly unhackable.

Physically, wonderboy. It's up to you code monkeys to work the software firewalls, encryption, and the like.

The concept of the uncrackable system, the inescapable cell, the unbreakable structure - they're not myths or concepts. Just realities I haven't figured out yet.

See you in Edinburgh in a few.

Of course. If you'd like, I can be there in a couple of hours, nevermind the weekend; my professors are very understanding of my strange departures, and as long as there's internet access, I can keep up with my classes relatively well.

Just say the word, and I'm there.

(With post-its and vanilla tea, even.)

Just for you, I'll resist the temptation of wheedling a really fast flight out of Scott. That's how much I love my Boss Ma'am.

Two boxes it is.

We'll be in the air before you get this.
