Subject: Fixing your husband?
Heard about what happened w/ Saul. Am sure you know that everyone's desire for homicide on that man has increased, so it's no surprise that mine has.
However, started mulling the problem over again and I want to do some tests. I've got an idea for a chemical check on his precog that could maybe be a temporary fix, but I'm going to need to do lots of blood tests...
Er, wait. Let me go back and start again.
All psi powers are EM in nature - this is known, and in theory it's a weakness but even Erik doesn't have the fine control/neurological understanding to interfere with tp/tk. It's just not doable, as far as I can tell, because brainwave patterns are too mutable. You can wipe them entirely, or you just can't do anything with them. Nate and Angie's precog, however, are electro-chemical, leading to the wacky coffee and chocolate effects they both suffer from. I believe that this is at the root of Nate's EMP problems - the theoreticals are escaping me at the moment (you and Hank are so much better at grasping the how of mutation functionality), but it makes sense from a logical point of view. No other telepath/telekinetic suffers from this EMP weakness, so it must be Nate's precog which is the weakness. The precog is affected by chemical changes and, specifically, can be kicked into high (uncontrollably high) gear with chocolate. Therefore there should be some other chemical or chemical mix which could, concievably, lower or cut off his precog (temporarily) and remove the EMP weakness.
But, well, you know. Nate + chemicals = wacky-not-so-fun. So is there any chance you could convince him to let me steal some (er, lots of) blood samples? Am going to go at this slowly.
And, it goes without saying, I would love to hear any ideas you have on the matter.

I shot his brother, too bad I don't have the chance to shoot him.
That makes an incredibly scary amount of sense. We have already seen how Angie's precog messes with other psi-based ability (that girl is a walking psionic black hole for the lack of a better term), so it stands to reason that a psi with the precog ability will have weaknesses no other normal psi would.
And I can do that, certainly. You've got access to his file so you can see the drug concocation he's been on. Brain scan readings might not be amiss, either.
I'll let you know he probably won't be happy about the lowering or temporarily removing the precog but, well, it's a workaround. At best, I'll bribe him, at worst, I'll threaten.

I say next chance you get, unload a .45 into the bastard.
Yeah, working my way through the assorted drugs and interactions now. It's like a chemical dance, the steps of which no one is entirely sure of and occasionally just changes tempo for the hell of it. Er... or something. At any rate, it's going to take soooo much bloodwork before I find something I'm even willing to let him try. And yes, brain scans are our friends. If it were possible to stick him in the machine until he has a precognitive flash and record that, I would. May be able to draw some parallells between the readings off his last chocolate bout and some of Angie's readigs, though. Will give me an approximation, at least.
No, I didn't think he would be, but I'm not thinking of it in those terms. I'm thinking of it as "Giving him control over it", at least to a certain extent. Hold off the bribing or the threatening until after we've had a chance to try reason... No, strike that. Could you tell him about the idea (am so hiding behind you!) and then bribe and/or threaten him into my office so I get a chance to try reason.
