But SHE asked ME!!

Even _I_ know that it's supposed to be the other way around! I need help, and I need it in a big, big way.

If I understand things correctly, I'm supposed to give _her_ a ring, right? I don't know a _damned_ thing about rings. I don't even know what size she takes! She doesn't normally wear rings!

OK, I need to calm down, take a few deep breaths.

You've got to help me. Please.

You're talking about doing things backwards to me? How pregnant was my blue-blooded Scottish wife at our wedding, hmm?

Seriously, if you're going to fret about something, make it something more important than Alison coming up with a charming twist on tradition that you're both going to be remembering fondly when you're eighty years old and poking each other with canes in side-by-side rocking chairs.

And if you want to go ring-shopping, or want one made, yeah, I'll do it. Happily.

Making diamonds is probably a little bit beyond me. I can't imagine just how much force that would take.
