do you want to know his fears? or would you like him to see ours? I'd like to show him.
yes, I'm upset and avoiding people again. but, I offer my services if they would help...and if someone can be there to give me the off-switch I am usually lacking.

Date: 2006-04-18 12:32 am (UTC)I want you to stop and think about this for a minute. Yes, he's hurt people that we know and care about, as well as a lot of other people. You could show him his fears, one of the telepaths could rewrite his mind, myself or any of the other X-Men could beat the crap out of him and try to 'teach him a lesson'.
But we can't. We can't, because we're supposed to be better than he is. I know that's not much consolation when you see your friends hurting, but the damage he did is being undone. The people who need help are getting it. That's what our role is supposed to be. None of us are judge or jury - we have to remember that.
If you need to talk more about this, I should be back in the office in a little bit.

Date: 2006-04-18 02:08 am (UTC)I let my feelings and that of those around me get the better of me...fortunantly, I did not do it in public.
although this does make me wonder what useful applications my powers have. now that I'm starting to get enough control to not freak out everytime I meet someone new, I've been thinking about that. And I can't think of anything. I'm not a torturer and that is all I can see for my powers. Intentionally forcing people to see their fears is torture.
