Subject: I just got off the phone with the lawyer...

Apparently Samara's board of directors is extremely pleased - and surprised - that I accepted their first offer. The paperwork's going to start going through next week.

Everything else that needed signing, I signed and faxed back to him. So it's done - or at least, started. I'm strangely anxious. Can't figure out why.

This financial advisor Moira foisted off on me insists that I can't liquidate everything. Apparently "an NGO planning to do what you're wanting it to do couldn't possibly spend that much money in several lifetimes".

I suppose I could find other worthwhile things to do with it... scholarship fund for the ex-Mistra kids, maybe?

Apparently not. He had all these charts and tables and sample budgets. I made a crack about keeping a slush fund for necessary bribes and if looks could have killed...

It's going to be slow, Ange - stuff that's as heavily bureaucratic as this almost inevitably is, I suppose. I've got to have some meetings in the city with some of the candidates Charles has for a board of directors, and I might wind up having to fly over to Muir to talk to David and them, as well. Some interesting developments on that side of things, too.

We may be having an Israeli office.
