I'm chipping in with what I can, but seriously, there's a limit to what I can do. Most of it's computer work, and I can only do that for a few hours before my vision goes double on me again.

I'll just make one of my mandated breaks around the dinner hour tonight. Maybe it's selfish, but none of what I'm doing is stuff that only I can do, I am still recuperating, and I haven't seen you in a while. I don't know... I just don't feel like feeling obligated to drive myself in some attempt to compensate for what I can't do this week. I suppose that doesn't really make any sense.

I've got to say, I'm glad. I'm a bit twitchy and I could do with some downtime myself. And I haven't seen you (or Angelo for that matter) since after San Diego.

And maybe you've finally gotten sick of the jokes about you being dangerous to yourself and decided you can look after yourself, thank you very much? ;)

I should see if he wants to come for a cooking lesson, too. At least if he's grating cheese he won't be watching me to make sure I don't stub my toe.

Mother henning, is he? *wry* I'd offer to distract him for you, but I sort of pushed too hard last time. Which would be part of the not seeing him for a bit. That and getting Wanda set up and the RedX profiles done and being agony aunt to the messily broken-up (how the fuck did that happen?) and fuck knows what else... Um, yeah, got a lot of gossip to entertain you with?

You and me both, we do what we can. If it means manning the comms, making the tea and making sure everyone else is looked after, then that's what you do. It's still important, even if it's not going out there and breaking tidal waves with your head. Or Healing someone's shattered hip joint.
