I was passing by the kitchen yesterday afternoon and saw your, um, errand. Use of mutant powers isn't against school rules as long as it doesn't involve harm to others or property damage, and that certainly wasn't irresponsible use, but I felt I should warn you that some of the kitchen staff have very specific hygiene requirements. In the future, going to the kitchen yourself might prevent potential issues.

Or else just restrict the errands to extremely early in the morning, between 1-3:30pm, and after 5.

If it's to, say, get a box or individually-packaged item I personally don't think hygiene is much concern anyway. Still, in some instances it's better to be safe than sorry. (Some of the kitchen-staff have an equally strong reaction to ensuring people washing their hands before handling food, too, so you're not being singled out here.)

I will say the power itself is a little surprising if you've never seen it before -- there's a possibility you might get a few startled reactions at first. Still, the school's generally pretty good about adjusting to odd mutations. I don't think it should be much of an issue, particularly since you already demonstrate good control.

I know I have one of the more unusual abilities - I have never met someone with an identical power. I am a little confused, though, as I was lead to believe that the residents of the mansion were used to seeing rather odd and peculiar things. A small piece of animated hair should rate rather low compared to demon attacks and supervillains.
