Hey, mate, how's your hand feeling? How's that taping job I did holding up? Get Rahne to have a look at it now she's back if you don't want to go down and explain things to Voght, okay?
Yes, I worry. Distracts me from thinking about other stuff. *wry* Although I think I've figured out what I need to do.

Hey.
I talked to Ms. Munroe the other day and she told me what happened in Monte Carlo, and Marie-Ange and Angelo mentioned you were part of the group that went and got Jennie and Marius back and I wanted to check, make sure you were okay after it all. Especially since you always were Manuel's friend and and it can't have been easy, with the. Well. You know.
I think I need to go see him. Do you think that's a completely balmy idea?

So, sorting things out in my head and coming to the point where I need to decide something, but I just wanted to let you lot know that I talked to Ms. Munroe and she told me what happened with the kids. And Manuel. And I wanted to let you know, it wasn't his fault, not this time. He's in hospital after getting hit by a truck saving Jennie. There's not a lot about his condition - I'm going to call Moira later and see if there's news, since she's been dealing with that part.
Any way, yeah. Just wanted to say, and to let you know I'm doing all right with things. Not great, but not about to do anything dumb, either. Tho' the whole mood swing thing might have given away the 'not great' part. Thanks for keeping tabs - it helps a lot.

I just wanted to give you a head's up, and ask if it was okay to skip work on Monday, since I have commitments on Saturday and won't be able to leave until Sunday. Just a short trip for personal reasons. Be back Tuesday morning, bright and early.

I've been trying to figure out how to tell you and what you were allowed to know. I'm glad Ororo takled to you. If you need to go see him, then visiting is what you need to do. Just a warning that it's not a pretty picture, though he is doing better. And if you want company...I've already been planning to go back and Angelo actually said he'd be willing to visit too. Even if it's just for one of us to sit outside the room for you to lean on after. And I'm realizing how stupid it is to try and tell you everything via email. Up for getting together tonight or tomorrow?

If I said I was planning to go see him this Sunday, would that be too soon?
And definitely up for getting together. Tonight?

Date: 2006-09-27 06:35 pm (UTC)Yeah, the tape job's fine, and it almost doesn't hurt anymore. Rahne'd be keeping an eye on it even if I hadn't got her to check it every day or two, it'll be fine.
Yeah? Need to talk it out?

Date: 2006-09-27 07:00 pm (UTC)I probably do. And since Marie just said you were thinking of the same thing... I want to go see him. Fuck, I need to go see him. Remy'd be telling me not to, Sofia would be saying that it's just the whole co-dependence thing talking, but I need to do this.
Come with me?

Date: 2006-09-27 07:05 pm (UTC)Yeah, I was... you're not the only one with some kind of unfinished business with him, only not as ominous as that sounds. Just want to... clear the air, if there's any doing that.
When're you going?

Sunday. I already asked for the Monday off, since I don't know if they'll have moved him to Muir by then or not - I'm checking with Moira today. You think Nate'll give you Monday off after the week you put in running the place?

PS: And in good news... I have a new something to show you. You'll be glad about this development, what with the tendency of work to involve trouble with evil cultists and mad scientists and the rest...

Yeah, even without my talent at body language, I'd be able to tell you're not in the greatest of places.
I'm a mother hen. It's what I do. If you need anything at all, you know my door is always open.

It is not hard to guess that you are upset. I think anyone human would expect you to be.
If you need anything at all, I am only a few doors away, and I already keep late hours. I may not have a kettle on always, but I will have one up as fast as you need if you need to just sit and have tea and talk.
