Cheers,
I'm a mate of Shinobi's, and he thought the two of us would get on. So he gave me your email address and told me to say hi. Thing is, now I can't think of a bloody thing to say. *grins*
Right, I'm English (you might have noticed that from me using 'bloody' in a sentence that didn't involve noses) and I've been in this country for about three months. Less, if you count the three weeks I've just spent back home getting some extra training in. Shinobi tells me you're into punk - the real stuff or the watered down top ten shite?
Amanda.
PS: Angelo's a mate of mine too - Shinobi mentioned some kind of outing on the weekend. Mind if I invite meself?

Subject: The more, the merrier!
Caught me on an insomnia night. I'm not always this quick to get back to e-mails, I swear. That would be, you know, "don't you have a life?"-worthy, I think.
I seem to be developing a li'l collection of his buddies, which is totally cool by me. Like the subject line didn't give that away. Don't worry about being for a loss - I'm a lot better in person or over the phone than I am via text, too.
Actually, 'cheers' gave it away more than 'bloody' did. ;) And the boy tells you right, and noooo, watered down top ten shit is baaaad. Bad, bad, bad. I've actually been leaning more towards metal lately (my brother forgot his Metallica S&M CD last time he was by the house), but I'm still into it.
As for me, I'm a New York native, myself. Was born in the Bronx, but we moved to Manhattan about.. three, four years ago-ish? I'm seventeen now, at any rate. Brother got me into skateboarding before we moved, and I'm part of the usual crowd at one of the 'parks. If Angelo and my mother get their way, I'm gonna go to Columbia University for journalism, once I get through with this high school crap. Gyagh. I mean, interesting field and all, and I'd love to, but.. gyagh. Y'know?
Okay. I'm rambling, now. Bad Beth, bad.
-B.
PS: Fuck, sure, come along! If Angelo don't mind, neither do I. Going to do a tour of the city, sorta, then a movie and probably coffee or something. Make a day of it.

Subject: Insomnia - everyones doing it.
Well, I can blame mine on jet lag. GOt back from England... a day ago. I think. This place does weird shite to me time sense. And I actually don't have a life, outside of this place, butthat was mostly me own doing. Wanting to change that now, which is why I'm bugging you, I suppose. *grins* Besides, if Shinobi says your cool people, I'll believe him - I dunno if you've met or heard about this girlfriend much, but she's very much not your average airhead.
I ain't exactly comfortable with the text thing, as you might have noticed. Mostly 'cause I ain't that good at the school thing - me education was different to say the least. I spent a lot of time in foster homes and skivved off school when I was actually enrolled. Of course now they're making me work at Xaviers but that don't make it easier. Spell check is your friend. *grins* I dunno if you'd be up for it, but I could give you a number you can call me on here, get that whole problem out of the way.
Good to hear you're still into the punk - I picked up some stuff in Brighton when I was there you might like to listen to. Ain't heard it on any of the alternative radio stations here yet, so you'd be getting a sneak preview. *grins* I can burn a selection for you, if you like. Most of the stuff I have is older - the Clash, the Sex Pistols, the Buzzcocks and the like - but there's some not bad up-and-comers. I'm also into the whole rave scene, tho' the clubs here ain't a patch on home. Unless I've been looking in the wrong places.
I'm turning seventeen in a couple of weeks - fuck, that one snuck on me, didn't it? - and at the moment I'm working on finishing high school. Uni's something I've never really thought of as an option, but they keep telling me here that anything's possible, so you never know. Hardest part is to get the work done without making things easier for meself with me powers - I'll have to explain that bit either over the phone or in person, because it's too fucking complicated otherwise.
Okay, better get me arse to bed. Got some heavy shite happening first thing and I need ot be awake for it. And don't worry about the rambling. I like it - nice to talk about normal stuff, y'know?
A.
PS: Sounds wicked. :) Saturday morning's bad for me - got meself some special classes in New York for the morning - but that night or Sunday would be cool.

I haven't met his girlfriend yet, but he does have a tendency to go on a bit, once you get him started. It's cute, in a "oh barf, shoot me if I ever wind up like this" sort of way, even if he ain't exactly talking about sunshine and puppies when he brings her up.
Phone numbers are good. I gave Angelo my number the other day, so I see no reason not to slip it to you, too. Anything to make stuff easier, right?
Oh-ho-ho. Going to hook me up with genuine British punk, are you? I'd kiss you, but I don't know if you're into that sort of thing. ;D Ahem. But, yeah, that's be bitchin'. Sometime, I'll have to drag you over here and let you raid my MP3s or something. Mom does so love when I have company over. It's such a rare occurance. (She says, as her best friend hogs the bed for the second time this week. Pfft. Sofa for me.)
Shit, we'll have to do a party for you or something. Maybe some decent concerts are coming through town 'round then - when's your birthday? I'll get my research on. Also: powers, I'm learning, are freaking cool. I'm really curious as to what you've got up your sleeves, now.
Bed does sound kinda good. It's only.. oh, Christ, I think I'm napping during my free period today. Yugh. I'll make sure to ramble at you some more next time we talk, though - normal is good, when you can get it.
-B.
PS: Cool deal. Let Senor Espinosa and his lady-friend know - I'm goin' on their schedule for this thing. :)

Okay, I know I said I was going to bed, but I got your reply just as I was about to turn this thing off. Give me a call tomorrow after school? I'll be stuck doing homework for a while, so you'll catch me. The number's 555-2341-0201.
Bed now. Really.
A.
PS: Will do. Ange's girl is my roomie, so its all nice and cozy, ain't it? *grins*

Of course, I'm still awake, so I guess I'm insufferable, too.
I'll give you a call when I get home tomorrow, promise. It'll be arooound.. hell, I'll call while I'm walking home, so probably around threeish.
I concur. Bed now. Sweet dreams.

PS: Oh, really? That is pretty damn handy, yeah. Wicked.
