The professor told me about your situation, and we did get in touch with Miriam Cross and her family to see if the arrangements the professor suggested to you earlier would be okay. They agreed -- unless you have any objections we'll be seeing them tomorrow afternoon. I'll be taking you. (I'll fill you in more tomorrow when I'm a little more coherent. I'm sorry, it was a long flight, but I thought we should at least touch-base tonight.)
How are you doing otherwise?

That sounds fine to me. Sorry to make you do this right after you got back. If you want we can put it off a while longer until you're recovered? I don't know if I'm really going to do any good going to talk to her. Letting the deaf girl talk to the blind one isn't the best idea ever.
I'm doing okay. Bobby's been an absolute hero all day. Sat in the music room for hours with me while I played.

Don't worry about it, believe it or not this is kind of helpful. Crashing at 5pm would have been a hit any kind of regularized sleeping schedule didn't need after a weekend in Kosovo.
Speaking from experience, people who've gone through what Miriam has often feel comfortable talking to those they see have a tangible connection to the situation they're in. They can relate to them in a way they might not be able to relate to other people, no matter how well they mean. The other party's perceived inability to empathize can be a real problem. I know it sounds manipulative, but owning your weakness can be a pretty effective tool.
I'm glad to hear you guys are both doing okay. And, um, congratulations (providing the announcement was real and not just a big elaborate joke I fell for, since I do that sometimes).

I do the same thing after visiting home. Not quite as bad of course as Ireland's a fair bit closer.
I just don't know what I'm supposed to say. Or, not say. Or...well, anything.
Ah, thank you. It's quite real though we'd not told many people before now. There were quite a few poor reactions to it that made us reticent. Sean thought it was a brilliantly funny thing, of course. But he's Irish and quite mad.

I know it's good for me, it's just one of those things you don't have the willpower to stop. Um, the urge to sleep for fourteen hours, that is.
Just say what you would say, and what you think you would need to hear in her position. I'll be there, too. I've never done the recruiting thing either, but I think together we'll be able to work something out. There are a lot of reasons why Xavier's would be a good fit for her, a lot of them having nothing to do with "because she's a mutant and has nowhere else to go." All we have to do is let her know what they are.
And oh, okay -- actual congratulations then. I'm glad you two are happy. (Sorry if I sounded a little dubious, it's just that for a telepath I really suck at distinguishing truth from joke. Although after almost a year at Xavier's School for Improbable Events you'd think I would know to take everything seriously.)

I'll do my best. I just don't know if I'm the right person for this. We can't even talk to each other without help. I'll help however I can, obviously.
We're having a real wedding too. Flowers and a reception and a priest and all that. I understand why you wouldn't believe me. Marius and Jennie are still claiming to be married as well.

We'll all do our best. That's all that's being asked of us. Don't worry about the communication issue. That's what I'm here for.
Flowers and priest are good. As for Marius and Jennie, um . . . let's just say I disbelieve nothing at this point.
And on that I have to go to bed. Syncing to New York time was good but 1:30 is kind of pushing it.

I'm excited about it. I love him more than anything.
Good night, Mr. Haller.
