Even for a place with Xavier's particular track record for staff-abuse the preliminary emptying of an office not 24 hours after waking from a coma sets an impressive record. And after I so carefully tended to you in your 32 hours of need . . . or rather, was barred from Medlab while others did, but I assure you, the thought was there.
Why do you hurt me?

Oh, I haven't been... what's the word you Brits use? Sacked? Just taking a bit of a trip. To Scotland, actually. Temporary internship under Dr. McCoy, get some advanced education credits under my belt.

Ah, yes, that Option you have been toying with. I was curious, as the apparent exodus is in close proximity to an "incident," which I wondered if perhaps had caused "issues," as something similar caused my poorly-judged flight to "Europe."
. . . something is superfluous there.
Forgive the questions, I simply possess some natural concern in this matter as this would be the second time my mates have been incapacitated outside of my presence. In fact, you and Kyle have now progressed into repeats. Sans the brutal disfigurement this go around, of course.
I also am duly impressed that after a year of living together and speaking on a nigh daily basis you have succeeded in missing my country of origin by about a hemisphere.

The "incident" in question was a definite catalyst, yes. And while I suffer no lasting physical effects or idiotic lack of faith in my peers, there are some similarities. Being in that Europe is my destination, not that my judgement is poor.
I'll be working with Dr. McCoy, so the likelihood of any shenanigans of an emotionally-destructive nature are minimal. Quite the opposite, in fact. Were I more of a mystic or "in touch with my heritage", I would refer to this as "finding my center" or a "vision quest". But since I'm not a superstitious primitive, it's just a way to go clear my head.
Australia, Britain, same difference. One country lives on beer, the other spreads it on their toast.

I would say find a mate to stick close to there, but in light of my actual experience which such matters perhaps your inclinations towards the company of that which can be ordered from an engineering catalogue might serve you well. Perhaps you shall return to amaze us all with the speed in which you can assemble vehicles in humourously inappropriate places. Ah, but wait . . .
If you come back wearing fringe boots and eagle feathers, on the other hand, the mockery shall ensue.
Never impunge the virtue of vegemite. In this country it is sometimes the only tenuous link one has to an actual alcoholic beverage. One might call it the dietary equivalent of an ex-girlfriend's best friend.
Except, as this is a co-ed school, not aloud.
