subj: I amaze even myself.

I? Am talented. In one moment of stress and rage I have somehow managed to not only insult several people where no insult was intended, alienate myself from a good chunk of the student body, find out what people really think of me (gee thanks Terry), get cussed out by people I've never even met, AND have my original point missed entirely.

Next time I get the brilliant idea of posting to the journals thinking that I will only get the message read as intended, by, y'know, my friends and classmates and not a whole bunch of adults I have never met or rarely see, duct-tape my hands together, please? I mean, it's not like I go to school and live here or anything. Heaven forbid I voice my own opinions or be personally affected. Next time I shall just resume bottling my emotions and keeping my feelings and my opinions to myself, as we both know that has no unforeseen consequences whatsoever.

Now I shall barricade myself in my room to avoid the pitchfork-bearing mob and try to formulate an apology to those I personally offended, stretching that tiny thimbleful of tact I possess as far as it will go.

This may take a while. Bring food.

Subject: There is awe indeed

Ah, well, you were rather -- let us say "vehement" in your post of origin. As well as barely coherent. As I myself was in all follow-up replies, but that I attribute as a natural consequence of mornings and attempts at Thought.

Yes, I noticed the utter strangers stepping into the ring long enough to take a swing. I tried to explain your lack of sense as best I was able. Rather a pity it came down to the unseemly sharing of perhaps slightly too much information about my person to the English bloke. I quite enjoyed his commentary on the overly emotional music of the modern times. (And speaking for myself, I have met Domino and I was entirely unaware of their apparently special relationship, which was a landmine you so blithely stepped upon. The rumourmill has either failed us utterly or I do not pay enough attention. Well, let us consider . . .)

Despite my public rationality and legitimate interest in current events I did not in fact disagree with the spirit of your message. Adolescence is a time in which one is required, nay, expected to be self-involved and utterly unaware of anything beyond the edges of their own skulls. Are we not to be allowed resentment when our isolation is thwarted? I am also not particularly one to sit idly by and let my opinions go unnoticed simply to upset nothing. That way lies bottling, which, as we have all determined, is bad. I am at a loss as to how this could have seen public address and yet not offended those parties to whom it is a sensitive subject.

. . . except it now occurs to me that while neither appears often-used, there are such things as [livejournal.com profile] x_students and [livejournal.com profile] x_kids, on which your emotions could have been given vent well away from the watchful eyes of adults.

Well, bugger.

Yes, I should say this incident certainly calls for Mercy Food.

Well, now I feel totally stupid instead of just mostly stupid.

Welcome to my realm, mate. At least your company shall be good.

No worries about my intervention. Barely understandable though it may have been. Fortunately the school has come to expect this as par for the course. It is only one of the many advantages of being me.

(Besides, you know I like to see people drawn and quartered about those crimes for which they are in actuality accountable for, as a fine patina of guilt quite ruins potential schadenfreude.)
