Emails to Garrison, Angelo, Nathan

I'm sorry my tone last night was harsher than necessary. I know you were only trying to make Angelo feel better, not to mention the fact you haven't been here long enough to get all the quirks of our system. Improper conduct's just something we have to be really careful about. We've had some problems in the past -- Marie can give you the details, she was more involved in the situation. It's just something to watch.
Off that mandatory break yet? (Sorry, I've been a little consumed with school issues lately.)
To: [Espinosa, Angelo]
From: [Haller, David]

I'm sorry for dragging the thing with Garrison out in public after Jennie's post. You didn't need any more stress. But really, don't worry about losing your temper. It happens, and everyone understands that. Jennie, too.
How are you doing?
To: [Dayspring, Nathan]
From: [Haller, David]

I want to swap 2007 for 1992-1995. If how the year's gone so far is any indication this is one chapter of my life I wouldn't mind losing to a coma.
How are you?

Date: 2007-02-24 06:21 pm (UTC)Things are under control here, properly under control, finaly. We got another person home from the hospital yesterday, and we'll get the other three home tomorrow, once the proper level of nursing care's set up. Although I had a difficult conversation with Rahne, yesterday... if you have the chance, would you look in on her this weekend? She (and Bobby) have been working so hard on that end, and some of the journal conversation got to her. Obviously.
And it just struck me I haven't answered your question. I need about three solid days of sleep, my wife, and our daughter. At that point I think I should be feeling properly human again.

Date: 2007-02-24 10:12 pm (UTC)You should get that sleep. Glad to hear you're . . . well, not doing better, but that things are under control. The kids have been a little tense lately. Obviously.
I'll talk to Rahne. It's good to check whenever the quiet ones stop being quiet. . . . Or go absolutely silent. I emailed Angelo and he hasn't gotten back to me. I hope it's just because he's taking the group's advice and resting. I know he's got a couple people there for him, but the last few days haven't been very conducive to recovering from trauma.
Don't even bring up the possibility of timetravel. I have enough trouble dealing with the here and now. The way things are going it could only end in someone's existence getting voided. Even if it were for a good cause I have to think that's more trouble than it's worth.

I've called Jack Leary already, and Angelo is at least okay with the idea of seeing him when we get back to the US. I get the sense that he wants to find his way out from under this, he just... doesn't know how, right now.
Having gotten up-close-and-personal with the astral equivalent of time travel, I would have to agree.
