However belatedly, I am back from the city... I did not see the light in your office so I assume you are enjoying your Saturday evening in some proper fashion. As well you should be. But yes, I have returned, with no kidnapping or grand theft auto to my humble name. Assuming I did not miss any major catastrophes here, I will take a look at the work I have let pile up tomorrow. Tonight is too fine to sully with such drudgery.

Well, I can't say that I'm enjoying my Saturday evening quite as much as you apparently enjoyed your Friday evening. That's okay, though. I'm enjoying that you're so clearly enjoying yourself, whatever you're doing. (And no, I am not going to make any educated guesses.)

No major catastrophes here. I'd say you could leave work until Monday, if you wanted (unless there's something more in your inbox that I don't know about). I mean, you might want to... go back into the city, or something. Right?

As nice as the city is, I like it here too, thank you very much. (Plus, the people I was visiting may be leaving the country tomorrow, so.) And there is the small matter of finishing the essays I may have put off in favor of flying to Portugal... by comparison, they seem downright welcoming. How are the post-flying-into-a-wall muscles?

Remind me to make sure I hold you to taking regular evenings off (you know, like you're supposed too). Visiting the city seems to agree with you, and mine is not to reason why (or with whom), mine is simply to appreciate the improvement in your mood. I noticed we have a perfectly clear sky and balmy temperatures out there.

I suppose I can't argue with the need to catch up on marking. Think I might leave my quizzes for Monday, though. I'm sore, and the headache doesn't seem to want to go away.

...did you believe that? Probably not. You are so skeptical, Scott. And stubborn. Though at least you are leaving your quizzes... it sounds as if you should leave your computer as well. I am sure Jean would help you rest if you asked. Rest is very good for sore muscles. You should get some rest.
