Lorna,
You know what the best part of a wind mutation is? Not having to pull sand out of various areas for several days. And making sure that everyone else does. Who thought that making me a bodyguard was a good idea? Because they need to die.
On less exciting but more relevant news, Zala seems to be clean. The rude men you hired did a good job before they decided to be secretive for no reason. Her husband seemed to have been fairly shady, but from what I'm finding, her company now, which she does little more than figurehead for, does legitimate business.
Much less exciting than I was hoping for. Aren't all of you mansion-livers supposed to have more secretive dark pasts?
If I'm not sent to another desert any time soon, I may take a flight out to visit some people I worked with and see if they know anything more than they were willing to give up over the phone, but otherwise, you seem to be good to go.
SMB
Postscript: Right. In case it wasn't obvious, I found her. She's in LA.

Sofia,
Wow, thank you. That was fast. I guess it's good to know that my money wasn't totally wasted on the rude men. Do I want to know what you mean by shady stuff?
You mean LA like the city not the state, right? She's in California? That's...really kind of crazy to think that she was so close to home the whole time and they couldn't ever find her.
Did you have...I mean, I'd like to know more about her. Where she lives, what she's like. Is she married, divorced? Does she have any kids? Christ this feels nosy. Maybe just a phone number or something so I could call her?
Thanks for looking into this for me.
I'm sorry to hear about your desert trip. At least it's over, right?

Date: 2007-03-16 03:31 am (UTC)How about I drive over and give you all my notes, along with a very neatly typed up summary and you take me out for purse shopping? I need a new overnight slash carryall bag and you have good taste. I always enjoy finding new places to shop.
At least it's over. I'm not sure how long I can keep this sand up without someone suspecting something, though.

I'd say you should look innocent but I don't know if that's possible for you.
