I don't know if I mentioned yesterday, but I'm reasonably sure we were going more than twice as fast as your flight speed for parts of that run. I was surprised to note how much trickier it was to gauge speed, though--I suppose I'm more used to the wind in my face than I thought.

The Smetkovs wanted me to be sure to let you know that you were welcome to come back whenever you liked--actually, Gospozha Smetkova had rather a lot to say about how well-mannered you are, particularly compared to their granddaughter, who usually handles the more complicated English for them but has apparently started seeing an unsuitable young man.

Am I forgiven yet for my explosive misadventure?

Pietro,

I could have directed the wind into your face, but I think it would have been rather rude of me to do so, and as Gospozha Smetkova noticed, I was raised properly, am polite, and have proper manners. Well, I am polite and have good manners most of the time. There have been a few times where I was not as well-mannered as I should have been. Surprising, I know.

The trip was a bit unsettling at first, but I know that such a speed is actually slow for you compared to how fast you can run. The restaurant and the Smetkovs are very nice and the food was wonderful; your mother's cooking must have been extremely wonderful. Thank you for taking me; I generally enjoy being able to try new types of food, I just do not consider some of what most Americans seem to find edible as belonging to the category of "food." What I ate last night was definitely palatable.

I am not sure that I can really forgive you for being high above ground on a plane while it was nearly shredded into tiny bits. After all, you did not want to be in such a situation. At least, I do not believe that you wished to find yourself in this type of situation. I do not think that you have reached the point in your career as an X-Man where you actually want to be involved in explosions. Furthermore, this is not something where you can honestly tell me "It will never happen again." More than likely, it will happen again. I know this. You know this. Hopefully, the next explosion you are involved in will not occur while you are on a plane. Either way, I know that being nearly blown up will not be by choice. Therefore, to be fair to you, the next time you take part in an X-Men adventure involving an explosion, I will allow you to choose whether I am kidnapped, brainwashed, possessed, or move to another world.
