How much work do you think it is? I mean, I gave him a short list of people to talk to. As in, four. Other than that, his time's his own.

There's just as much work as I was hoping there would be. Because now I can press go on the airline ticket for Amanda.
Because, you know, there's a pressing job I have for her. Maybe you've heard of the place? Starts with an 'M'.

Ah, good. So you've made the necessary arrangements... I was wondering, looking at their journal conversation, whether I'd been too indirect. Me, subtle. Wow.

I think they're both so distracted that they aren't seeing the signs. I fully expect to be trampled to death in sheer joy once she gets through the first ten or so pages.
Which are utterly, mind boringly numb. And they all talk about this promisian thing. (She's going to kill me when she realizes I made her read 10 pages about lemurs.)

A minivacation! Oh, now why didn't I think of that. Next, every bureaucrat on this week's list will become sweet and cooperative and our projects will spontaneously restaff themselves.
Ahem. Anyway. Yeah, they're distracted, and probably just being overly considerate of each other's devotion to duty. Good thing we're less scrupulous.
