This sort of thing really isn't me at all, but I just wanted to say that you've been beyond good over this whole mess with Amanda. I don't know if he told you, but Logan came to me just after all hell broke loose, and basically offered to leave the putting the fear of god into Amanda to me rather than do it himself, if I did him a favour - specifically, find out who got your name blacklisted and try and do something about it, which I thought was pretty good of him. He's probably got the beer and cigars I left for him by now...
Fact is, I've been working on sorting out that particular piece of government bastardy for a couple of months now - I think I might be getting somewhere, but I'll let you know more another time.
But most of the reason I'm writing is just to say that, well, I owe you one. I ain't big on that kind of nonsense - either the job needs doing, or it doesn't, and no amount of favours ought to make a difference to that, but you've been well above and beyond in the last few days, so if there's ever anything I can do for you, let me know.
How's Amanda doing?

She was a mess last night. Looked like she hadn't eaten or slept in a week, which I figure was about the case, wearing the same clothes she had on when things blew up. I wasn't just going to let her wander off like that. I'm mulling over a couple things she said and I may be back in touch with you if they don't look like they're clearing up.
However, maybe me taking her in and getting her cleaned up and fed and all did some good. She was off already this morning, I got a note from her saying that she was kind of worried about Paige and was going to brave the storm to stick by her roomie, which seems like a good thing to me.
She's a good person at heart, Pete, and like I said to Logan last night, it's not her fault she doesn't have experience with people. It'll change. She says she trusts me and I take that seriously. She also said that now that I fed her, I can't get rid of her, which is fine with me. I'm starting to like her a lot.
I'm glad Logan came to you instead of jumping down Amanda's throat. Thanks for letting me know. This kind of thing doesn't always get back to me. The good gets overlooked, usually.
And as for the rest, thanks. I try. Don't always get it right, but I do try.
