Yeah, but a telepath could have caught them at it. Sophie and Esme were using washroom breaks to swap places, if you can believe that. We had a double-class today to give them some time to work on their term projects, and they were having a great time messing with my head.

Somehow I think you're probably right. He does still do that little shudder anytime the subject of your early years at the school comes up - Ororo and I used to ask questions just to get that reaction, did I ever tell you that?

Well, he'd never had to deal with teenagers before me, and I was enough to turn his hair grey, if he'd had any.

At least he can't blame it falling out on me.

Yeah, but at least some of it was me being bored. This house is way too big for three people, and two old guys do not provide the right sort of entertaining company for a teenager.

You got plans for this evening? I kind of feel like crap, and wouldn't mind a quiet night in. We could watch bad movies and I could remember not to laugh. (These damn ribs will heal up eventually, yes?)

Quiet night before turkey day sounds lovely - particularly the bit where we avoid all the craziness in the kitchen. You about done in the office? Laurie's coming up to the suite to talk with me about her purchases from today, but other than that I'm free. I even arranged it so I have no marking to do over the long weekend.
