Yeah, it makes sense. Not sense I like, but I'm not about to get another object lesson in why you shouldn't use your powers to make people feel better. Brain damage from the favour I did Jay is enough.

No. Not yet, any way. And probably not likely to. I was going to ask Tante to do a reading for Angelo - he's convinced one of those mad diaries from Adler is predicting he's going to be crucified and I wanted to prove he isn't. Only... well, yeah. Tante's message.

Fuck this. I know the power's not there to make life easier for people, but I hate seeing him like this.

That's why Tante had the smacking voice going. Actually, can't say I blame her.

Amanda, you work in the center of an intelligence network. Assuming those diaries are true, and the entry actually is directed at Angelo, both of which are unlikely at best, what do you expect to be able to do with magic that you can't do almost as well from your desk.

So, crucified. That's someone trying to send a message, obviously with a strong religious undertone. Likely anti-mutant. Capable of employing either enough force or obfuscation to get their hands on an X-Man and nail him up prior to Xavier's crew coming down like a hammer. To do that, you need existing intelligence and a group gathering it.

It's not a lot to start with, but you should be able to shake the trees a bit. Crucifying is unique. Cash in some favours with Sofia and get her to work up some profiles on who and what type of group would use that as a message. Marie-Ange might be able to make more sense from some of the passages around it, see if that can provide any more information. I'll talk to Pete and see about adding it on the lists, low level at the very least.

Tante's already shown you that you can change the future, Amanda. Just not using an easy shortcut like magic to do it. Besides, even if nothing comes out of it, it will likely make Angelo feel at least like he's doing something about it.

Well, that's a shot of reality, and make no mistake.

I s'pose I panicked - something I need to work on, but after the last year, the idea of more shite raining down on Ange was enough to make me stupid.

Angie's already working on parts of it - Ange went to her first - but I'll go talk to Sof, with suitable bribes. If you could talk to Pete about adding this to the list, I'd appreciate it.
