I am completely missing something here. I know Manuel wasn't the nicest guy in the whole world, but some of the posts in the journals today are just...really, really nasty. I'm flipping back though the stuff that happened while I was gone, but I haven't really hit on anything yet. What happened? Is this why you broke up?

Yeah, it's a right old mess, isn't it?

Back when we were dating, Manuel and I had an empathic link. I got myself messed up royally with the addiction and some other things, and made some bad choices. One of those was to rip the link out with magic. It messed both of us up and he did some really horrible shit, mostly with his powers. He was pretty much expelled for it, from what I'm told. Then there was a mess with Marius and Jennie and a powers interaction, and Manuel wound up in a coma after stopping Jennie being hit by a truck.

Problem is, people only pay attention to what he did. They don't know or care for the reasons why. But if he's really serious about making a new start... then I hope he gets it.

It's okay, mate - I went through the complete idiot stage of adolescence in a spectacular fashion and there wasn't a lot anyone could do to stop it. Considering my roomie was the pre-cog, there was seriously nothing people could do to stop it.

All that being said... the Manuel posting right now doesn't come off as the Manuel who did that stuff. As Angelo was telling me today, being in a coma for a couple of years has to have changed something, and I think it has. The X geezer wouldn't have had him back, otherwise.

Talk to Nate, when he's back from Muir? He might be able to give you a better insight on things Manuel-related too, since he was here for more of it than I was.
