I just returned from a weekend away and saw the journal entries from yesterday. What happened? Are you eating now? Please do not turn me into the sort of person who insists people eat. I have done that here on only one occasion that I can recall, and I have never been one of the girls who bring food to people.

Crystal,

Thanks for the concern. You don't have to force me to eat, Alex is here doing that. I'm not going to relapse over this. As for what this is...let's just say that Manuel and I have some serious bad blood between us and I'd have been happier if he'd chosen to recover from his coma either not at all or someplace that wasn't here.

At the moment, I'm fine. I'll probably be back to cooking/classes/etc in a few days. I just need some time to get used to this.

Lorna,

Is there anyone who was at the mansion the previous time Manuel was here who does not have some sort of history with him, whether it is positive or negative? I must admit, I found it quite surprising that with all of that history, people were not notified in advance of his return.

Of course, you do not live at the mansion, and you do not have to see him. In addition, next month you will be moving far away from here.

To be totally honest, if it wasn't for the fact that I don't live there and I'm moving soon, I would be taking this a whole lot worse.

Maybe he's changed. For real this time instead of the way he'd 'changed' in the past. More power to him in that case but I think it's a giant gamble.

I'm not going to comment anymore on the Manuel situation. No one was warned about this and I don't know what the hell they were thinking with that but I'm going to have to pretend there was a good reason. It's only a month and I can handle that.

Lorna,

Obviously, you are not the only one who does not seem to believe that Manuel has changed. I am about to go see Forge to speak with him about this. I am not sure that I will pretend that there was a good reason for not telling people, especially those who would be the most affected, both about Manuel waking from his coma and about his arrival and stay here. I have to assure myself that some thought was given to the matter, and that he will be watched to ensure the fact that his change is a real one.

My trip was fine. However, I am already getting the feeling that this is going to be a long week and I will need another trip away from the school this weekend.

I've been around longer than he has and believe me, in all that time, he's never actually changed when he's claimed that he has.

Funny how this place does that to you. We should work two days a week and get vacation the other five for all the trauma that gets piled on in those two.
