Somewhere in the fiasco that is South Ossetia, I have lost a Russian. He was obtaining some information for me but seems to have become caught up in the "my testicles are bigger than yours" exhibition that Russian politics has devolved into these days.
I have no reason to believe he is dead (in fact, I have excellent reason to believe he is alive) but his location eludes me. Felix had a number of contacts in the occult world, some of which you share. I have a file with all of the latest details on his movements and contacts available to me, but your specialist knowledge will be of the greatest assistance.
I believe tracking Felix down may involve a great deal of drinking vodka with mad Russian magicians (at least one of whom is a dwarf with unsavoury personal habits). I will cover all of your expenses but I strongly suggest carrying a half-brick in a sock with you at all times. The dwarf is grabby.

Emma,
Shame on me for skimming earlier. I could have sworn you had lost a mad Russian dwarf until I had the chance to actually reread the email. It made for some amusing thoughts of exactly where one loses a mad Russian dwarf these days. But nonetheless, consider me on the case for when I get back from India - as it is, when (or if) I have a moment to spare, I shall put out some feelers before I head over to the country to start the search myself.
Russia is no longer as big as it once was but it certainly isn't Cyprus sized, that's for certain.
Far be it from me to pass down a chance to rekindle some connections and drink with some mad Russians. And the need for protection, such as it is, has been noted. I am not above punting the grabby dwarf if it comes to that.
