Subject: so I need you to convince me...

That I am not putting two and two together and making five, here. I assume Charles or Ororo probably called over this weekend at some point, so you know we're dealing with trained and psionically altered kids of about the right age to have come out of that facility in Alaska, sporting tattoos as if they'd come out of Mistra's barracks in New Mexico twenty years ago.

Now here's where I'm fully aware that my logic may be a little shaky. Trask is after them, right? (I'm ignoring Shaw's involvement for the purposes of this discussion, because frankly, the less I think about driving into New York and demolishing the Hellfire Club on my way by, the better.) Trask was involved with my uncle. My uncle helped found Mistra, "consulted" on those damned camps in Africa and did God only knows what else before Askani did the world a favor and blew him up. All of SHIELD's current evidence suggests that Taygetos is or was privately funded, at least at the outset. And for all that the goverment took his company apart, who's to say they didn't miss a few well-buried branches?

Am I letting my biases run away with me here, or is this a reasonable theory?
