Subject: Date night?
Hey. I'm going to need to come in to the office super-early Saturday morning to get some work stuff done. Time zone issues and so forth. So I'm probably going to go to sleep pretty early Friday night. Do you mind if we move date night to tonight instead of tomorrow?

On a Saturday? That is no good. I think we can move our date night - did you have anything in mind besides dinner? I think it is your turn to pick a movie, since I got to see the Abba musical movie after you saw the Batman movie.

Enh. Not everyone can be on Eastern Daylight Time. Darn that whole 'revolving around the sun' thing. :D
Didn't have any definitive plans. Figure we'll wing it. Most of the movies that are currently out look kinda boring.

Is this like your 'no, go away evil photons' in the mornings? I like the sun!
That is fine with me. I like winging it.

Sort of. More that having contacts halfway around the world means I have to be out even BEFORE the evil photons. :P
Speaking of winging it, want to go to the wing place for dinner? I promise to keep my Nuclear Death Waste on my side of the table.

How early do you need to be at the office?!
Ooh, the place with the wings with the sesame honey sauce? I like those very much! Promise me we can get gelato after so that you do not taste like Nuclear Death Wings?

The buttcrack of dawn. That is to say, before 4AM.
Yes, that place. And sure, we can get gelato. I think they got some new flavors in this week.

Oh, yes, that is much too early. Are you going to get that absurd coffee drink where all you have is espresso, syrup and a very large cup?
New flavours? Was there anything that sounded very good to you?

Yes. I think the baristas are planning on naming that drink after me or something. Either that or something that is aggressively snarky. You never can tell with them.
Well, I'm intrigued the chile-burnt caramel and mango, which I'm sure does not come as a surprise. They've also got mint chocolate chip and brownie chunk, and salty peanut butter toffee.

It is not their fault if the only time you drink coffee is when you have not gotten nearly enough sleep and are cranky.
All of those sound good. We should get several little scoops and try them all!

That's what coffee's for! Besides, Pete's always cranky, and they seem to be nicer to him.
Sure, plus whatever other new stuff they have. :)

Perhaps they like cranky Englishmen who do not make them make absurd coffee drinks?
I like that idea very much. I like it even better if they have those Italian sodas again.

Blah blah "fucking black coffee". Maybe they think he's "dreamy" or something.
The Italian sodas were pretty good, yeah.

Or maybe they just like him. Who knows? Baristas are from other planets, like Orion or one of those other Star Treks planets.
But not the peanut butter one. I will draw the line at being open minded about food at peanut butter soda. That was not good.

...what, you think they're actually lizards who are here to eat us when we least expect it?
I dunno, I kinda liked that one.

What? I do not understand that.
Ew! Maybe YOU are an alien who is going to eat us!

...well, I did turn into a zombie in World of Warcraft last night...

I thought your World of Warcraft person was already a zombie? Isn't he a zombie with a blue demon monster?

Um. How did I know you were going to say that?
My character is an undead who has broken away from the zombies and has free will. The zombies are the minions of the Lich King, who the next expansion is going to be about. So as preparation for the release of the expansion, there is an event in the game where people can get turned into zombies and all of the friendly characters that normally help you try to kill you instead.

So your character is a zombie who got turned into a different more evil kind of zombie?

Yes. Kind of. It's complicated.
