Scott,

Turns out my father had friends in the government - an analyst named Jonathan Kroeger kept tabs on me while I was out traveling. He got in touch with me when Magneto took over that space station and again when New York was attacked. Apparently, his next trick was to wind up on the deceased list that Doug found.

My worry is if there's one spy for Magneto in government, there have to be others.

And yet, if I had withheld it you would have been just as pissy with me. So I would rather take Bitchy Scott because it's a dead end over Bitchy Scott because I didn't share well with others.

Because obviously I am attempting to one up my father in that regard. Obviously.

And we're not all-seeing and all-knowing, so any piece of information - no matter how much it's apparently been torn to pieces and chewed on by sewer rats - might be important.

Because if I was all seeing and all knowing, I would have sent this to Ororo, because there's a better than zero chance that she's not in this bad of a mood.

Seriously, though, Wanda, what do you expect me to do with this? I could pass it along to Val Cooper or something like that, but do you really want her, or someone from SHIELD, showing up on your doorway to ask more questions about Mr. Kroeger? They're going to want to know details, how we know this.

I hate you and your logic. Honestly, Scott, the idea that my father gave this man instructions to keep tabs on me? The idea is more than a little startling. Let's say, terrifying, in some aspects.

It's almost midnight in Europe after a frustrating day and I'm tired. You have the information - I'll stop by once I'm back in the United States. I'll promise to remember rational discourse, honestly.

Okay, that I can definitely understand.

I'll bounce this off Ororo and Charles, see if they have any bright ideas. Hopefully by the time you get back we'll have figured out some way to pass it along without exposing you to official attention.
