What do people do around here for New Years? Anything? That's probably part of my problem, I think - the holiday crap and being away from home for the first time during it and all that bullshit.

Everyone drinks; I was wondering where most people go to do their drinking. I take it there isn't any party around the mansion or anything? I half considered going to see the ball drop (if they're even doing that this year) since I've never been before but yeah, I really have no desire.

My life's not at a standstill. I'm moving forward - not as fast as I'd like but I'm not going backwards or stalling either. Just got some baggage to unload so I can pick up speed.

Yes, I agree. Baggage tends to slow everyone down. I would ask, but it is none of my business and rarely am I inclined to want to know anymore than I do at face value. Knowings one's history tends to infuriate me.
