It's friday night, my lesson plans and marking are under control and my minions are actually doing my bidding to my satisfaction so I don't have to go over to the office and knock heads together. Feel like doing anything? I feel like getting you drunk and then breaking into Kane's suite and finding out how to contact him so you can try this drunk dialing thing. Or, we could just hang out at Harry's or a club and skip the drunk dialing part. And since I missed the party for movie night want to make it a party? Invite Amanda? Jean-Paul? Manuel? (wouldn't that be funny?)

Morgan and I are going out tonight. Care to join us? It won't be late night as she's got a flight to catch and wants ot be back for 2:30.

From what I remember in order for the drunk dialing thing to be pertinent he would need to be my ex. Since I've definitely not dated him I don't think it really applied. Besides, I'd rather skip the drunk bit. For all the usual reasons and being hungover on planes blows. I remember that pretty vividly.
Also, I need to get some stuff squared away first. And I need to be back at the mansion by 2:30 or so to take off. Do I get something more than just alcohol and the company of a gorgeous woman if I come out?
I'm pretty sure Amanda's the only one you could possibly persuade to come out.

Wait, what? You're going away? Where?
Yes I suppose I should not encourage Manuel to leave his little sister so soon after finding her. He needs to be a good influence now. I am totally inviting Amanda and Jean-Paul though. That way you get the company of two gorgeous women and a gorgeous man!

Out of the country.
That's the best you can do? I should have known I wouldn't get anything really good out of it. Alas and woe.

You're really not going to tell me? Are we going to make this a weekend game, where one of us says something but then clams up?
What do you mean, best I can do? Two women and a man is not good enough for you?

Alright then. That answer is acceptable to me.
What else am I supposed to be offering? You said you can't go out drinking cuz you have to do things first and then be back to catch a flight! That doesn't give me a lot of time to plan you a damn carnival, you know.

Oh, well as long as I got you an acceptable answer. Now I may rest content.
No carnival? No dancing girls? No harem. SIGH. Fine. I guess I'll go out drinking. But this is really me settling a whole lot here.

That sounds like his phrasing. It means I walked out because there were different rules for different bodies.

I see.
I should tell you, I can't say I blame the guy- I went through something similar when you introduced me to Aoife, if I recall correctly. It's hard for people to apply the same rules to everyone, and when you can be everyone it confuses folks. I understand it now, but it took time, and maybe he just couldn't try hard enough to understand. I'm sorry- I know you two had fun together. If there's anything I can do, let me know? And if you're done packing, let me buy you a drink?

That wasn't his problem. I, however, am also not going to get into it as I doubt I could explain any of it to you adequately. Perhaps he could give you a coherent explanation.

Wait, so it's not okay for me to not get into things when you want to know, but it's okay for you to not get into things when I want to know? I don't really care about his explanation- I enjoy spending time with him but we're not going to be doing the confessional thing anytime soon. I do, however, care about your explanation, since I do seem to care about your feelings. Especially since this seems to have triggered an escape from the continent.

Excuse me? I'm overjoyed to know that you apparently think I've degenerated into being a 12 year old girl, however, I am not fleeing, nor am I leaving because I walked out on Jean-Paul. It's also not okay for you to bring things up, mutter some inconsequential bit of the story and then play evasion about the rest of it when you brought it up. It is entirely okay for you to just not fucking talk about it and since I never brought it up but have already told you as much as I am going to you can either live with it or get the schoolgirl gossip out of him since he's the one who told you in the first place.

This is what I get for trying to show concern for you? I never said you were fleeing because fleeing implies fear and I know you'd never flee anything, I already told you I'm not looking for gossip, and I don't think you're a 12 year-old girl. I just wanted to see if you were alright, and maybe it's just the text causing something to get lost in translation, but you don't seem alright.

I'm fine and you don't need to be concerned. Just because I don't talk about every emotional reaction and the event that caused it doesn't mean I'm traumatized. There's loads of stuff I don't talk about and while some may be concern-worthy most of it isn't. When I start killing more deer or spending in ordinate amounts of time on a gun range you can bug me until I threaten to shoot you because then something is wrong. Okay?
The situation sucks. He was a good friend. I, however, refuse to be in a situation where I have different rules for different bodies. It's one thing if a straight guy doesn't want me cuddling up to him when I'm wearing a male body, I can respect that. That is not the situation and it's actually so odd that I doubt it makes sense to anyone but me. I'm not even entirely sure Jean-Paul understands why I walked out and won't go back. I also don't think he cares enough to find out either.

If you get to threatening to shoot me I'll probably give up bugging you and either relocate to a new continent or hire someone to kill you. But your point about not talking about every little thing is noted. I get it. I just wasn't entirely sure how this friendship thing worked, after last weekend. I didn't want to screw it up.

Just don't use the same guy you did last time. I'll recognize him. I understand, it's fine. It's maybe a slightly sore subject right now for lots of reasons I don't feel like getting into. And maybe I'll explain it when it's less sore. But it has nothing to do with why I had to go out of town. And I'm not crying into my Cheerios over it. I'm not sure if I could find Cheerios here anyway. It'd have some stupid French name and I know enough French to suggest and say yes to a three-some and that's about it.

It doesn't have to be. I suppose you could be the man. There should be a man, though. I'm equal opportunity; I actually am not sure if girls do it for me anymore, so just in case there needs to be a man or I might get grumpy.
