I've run over a few last scans, detailing Alex's power levels and mapping the leakage. I'd say our theories are confirmed, Madelyn... the 'leakage' is actually a steady venting of excess power, which should prevent any more explosions. The body cares for itself. Of course, the power-venting brings problems of its own, but not insurmountable ones, and I admit I played those down when discussing them with Alex. I felt the important thing was to make sure he worries about it as little as possible, since fear and uncertainty regarding one's powers tends to send one's control right out the window.

Scott, if possible, I'd like to schedule regular Danger Room sessions for Alex, twice a week. Not the team runs, of course, but we could set up some basic drills for him to do. Preferably something simple that will allow him to feel more in control of his powers, and that he's making progress. (State of mind really is terribly important. If he becomes more confident in his handling of his powers, control will follow) The real goal of the sessions would be to allow him to use up some of the power that he keeps accumulating. The Danger Room is heavily shielded, and he can throw his powers around in there without it mattering very much if they don't always do as he wishes, and without being afraid of doing anyone any harm. I'm going to talk to Forge about putting together a version of the containment suit he designed for Alison, for Alex's use when he's not in the Danger Room, to help prevent any problems potentially caused by the leakage.

Madelyn, I've left the newest scans on your desk, if you wouldn't mind looking them over. Although the most immediate priority must be to control the unintentional leakage and give his powers a safe outlet, those are essentially stopgap measures. I'd like to discuss more long-term ideas with you when you have time.

I fear I will have to draw your attention from the mechanics of omniflexible robotic limbs for a short time. I'm sure you recall the specifics of the suit you designed for Alison... it seems we will need another, designed to slightly different specifications. The need isn't as urgent this time, but it should be done soon.

If Catseye appears in search of more fish, there are gourmet sardines in the snack cupboard. You, of course, may help yourself to whatever else is around, although I think the cupcakes may be a little past their best.

Would it be possible for you to do me a favour? It would be an ongoing thing, not a one-off, but it shouldn't take you too long each day. If you can, I'd appreciate it if you could put together a meal on a tray for Mr Dayspring once a day, and find him and put it in front of him. He often forgets to eat - much more than I do, even - and he's underweight and suffering from some vitamin deficiencies. He won't remember to feed himself, but if tasty, healthy food appears in front of him, he'll probably eat it.

We are a sad and sorry crew around here, nutritionally speaking. *g* At least I always eat my junkfood, though... Nathan frequently forgets to eat at all.
