Ms. Marie,

My roommate snores. That is, she snores when she sleeps. She says she doesn't require much sleep, so she stays up on the phone until 6 A.M. at which point she finally falls asleep. This is when the snoring begins.

I can't take it anymore. I need to change rooms. Now, please.

Dear Ms. Lorna,

I do not know what I've done to offend you. We haven't even met face-to-face. I'm sorry you are so upset by my lack of cooking skills. It is true, my cooking skills are nonexistant.

This does not mean that I lack skills. I have concentrated on other areas of expertise. Once it was discovered that cooking was not going to be one of my fortes, and it was deemed unnecessary in my situation, my family ceased any desire for me to cook. Simply put, no one had any reason to think that I would ever be in a position that required me to cook.

P.S. What is wrong with eating Power Bars and drinking Red Bull? That meal has to be healthier than the fast food meals that people in this country seem to consume in mass quantities.
